Slow Food


Slow Food is a global, grassroots organization with supporters in 150 countries around the world who are linking the pleasure of good food with a commitment to their community and the environment.

A non-profit member-supported association, Slow Food was founded in 1989 to counter the rise of fast food and fast life, the disappearance of local food traditions and people's dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from, how it tastes and how our food choices affect the rest of the world.

Michael Pollan

5-a-day is the name of programs in many different countries, especially the USA, as well as England, Wales and Scotland, to incentivize the consumption of, at least, 5 portions of fruits and vegetables every day, following World Health Organization's orientation for consuming at least 400 g a day.


In the USA, 5-a-day campaign gave place to a new program, named "Fruits & Veggies - More Matters", which recommends a certain number of fruit and vegetables according to the caloric needs of each individual, ranging from 4 to 13 portions. Besides, this new campaign argues that ingesting the necessary quantities of these foods is easy, once they can be consumed in their different forms: fresh, frozen, canned, dried or as 100% juice.

Brasil Trend Foods 2020


In Brazil, the new trends in the food & drinks sector were mapped in the study "Brasil Food Trends 2020", elaborated by FIESP with São Paulo's government cooperation.
